Augustus Dodoo aka ‘One life’ says winning the Best Match maker of the year 2025 will make him to work harder.

Speaking to Yours Truly in an exclusive chat after the Awards, he thanked those who voted for him and urged them to continue loving him.

He noted that sometimes quality shines over quantity, so it is not the number of bouts engaged in, but the standard and quality of boxers engaged.

“Many people do not understand the job of matchmakers, but with time they will learn. I have organized matches outside Ghana, and that also gives me some plus, however I also thank my godfather and partner, Hon. Laryea of Shiaste Promotions for his contributions and support to the work” he stated.

According to Dodoo, the climax of the Awards should be the recognizing people like Kwatelai Quartey, the veteran trainer at Bukom Boxing Gym, experienced time keeper / bell man Edward Addo and Ataa Eddie Pappoe, the international ring official, as they have all paid their dues to Ghana Boxing and deserve to be honoured.

He stated that the 4^th Boxing Ghana Awards was nice and should be continued with more sponsors coming on board.

He also expressed concern on social media voting as there are some people in boxing who are not on social media.
