The Ring Warrior of Ghana Boxing, Samuel Takyi put up a remarkable performance on Monday evening on the Cabic Promotions Big Fight Night bill at the Idrowhyt Events Centre to stop Isaac Dowuona of the Bronx Gym.

Dowuona who started the bout fiercely and was rushing forward did not even taste the deadly punches of Takyi and decided to quit after just two rounds. He failed to report for round three after receiving a few accurate jabs and hooks.

After the bout Takyi who is in tip top form declared his readiness for Joseph 'Jaguar 'Commey the National Lightweight Champion.

He thanked all those who have supported him.

Takyi won bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and gold at the 2023 African Games.

Takyi (8-0) has since fought opponents in South Africa, Nigeria and trained in the United Kingdom.

He currently trains at the Wisdom Boxing Gym under Coach Dr. Ofori Asare.
