Theo secured a dominant unanimous decision win over Daniel “The Emperor” Gorsh to become the new WBO African Bantamweight Champion.

He presented the title belt to me this morning, a powerful symbol of not just personal triumph but of Ghana’s growing global boxing potential.

“I congratulated Theo on his hard-earned victory and commended his coach for the technical brilliance that guided him to this milestone. Their partnership is a shining example of how talent and discipline, when paired with solid coaching, can produce world-class results” he said..

As a Ministry, we are fully committed to supporting Theo’s next steps toward a world title fight. I assured him that we will: Assist in mobilizing resources and sponsorship Explore serious training and camping opportunities.

“My vision is that within the next three years, Ghana must become a global destination for boxing. That future starts with nurturing champions like Theo, investing in preparation, and building a strong technical base” he added.

Congratulations, Champ. The journey to the world title begins now and Ghana is behind you all the way.
