Nigerian stylish and acrobatic dancer Bboy Lil Vic emerged winner of the 2023 edition of the AfroBreak Championship when he beat Benin’s Bboy Smith to second Place.
Sandrine made amends for Benin to claim the Bgirls title by defeating Nigeria’s Angel in another exciting contest.
The winners took home 3,500ghc each, plus products of sponsors and will travel to France to take part in another international competition.
The international judges who are champions on their own were Lilou. Khalifa, Baxdad, Matt and the great Campanita. They were exceptional in deciding the winners
Nigeria representatives who arrived in Ghana late placed first and second in the boys and girls respectively.
The AfroBreak championship hosted in Accra, Ghana for the second time was entertaining, exciting, explosive and electrifying. Event organizer and founder of Afro Break Academy, Bboy Lyricx aka Nana Tufour Okai commended all the countries representatives and the sponsors as well as the media who promoted and supported the event.
16 Bboys and 8 Bgirls from various African countries were represented in the finals of the Afrobreak Championship 2023 at Terra Alta at Abelempke in Accra on Saturday November 18.
Ghana’s Bboy Calams, Bboy Blesso and Bgirl Tris Naomi did well but they need to work harder to produce championship performance.

The 2023 Second Edition of the Cartel Foundation Charity Health Walk comes off on Friday December 1 from the Mamprobi Post Office at 6am and ends at the Mamprobi Girls School Park (Stephen Appiah Astro Turf).
According to Founder / CEO of the Foundation, Mr. Harry Henry Owoo, this edition is going to be bigger and better because people who were left out of the first edition have been made aware of the benefits of the activity and the massive participation is going to double.
He appealed to companies to support the Walk which is under the theme: Stepping To Wellness – A Walk For Healthy Future.
There would be several activations after the Walk such as Aerobics and Free Dancing and Socialising.
Last year, Hon Okoe Vanderpuye MP of Ablekuma South and CEO of CODA Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib were in attendance and they have promised to show up again just like Assembly members of Mamprobi, Korle Bu, Chorkor, Dansoman, Shukura and others.

Glid Otanga thrills fans with great performance in Hearts of Oak's win over Accra Lions
Accra Hearts of Oak's Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga delivered an impressive performance during his side's 2-1 win over Accra Lions in a matchday 11 encounter of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Otanga's contribution to the team was positive as he curtailed the attacks of the opponents with countless tackles.
The hardworking midfielder suffered a minor injury setback during their previous encounter against Legon Cities, but he was able to pass a late fitness test and featured against Accra Lions.
Otanga's hard work on the field of play this season has earned him back-to-back Man of the Match accolades.
He is one of the most skilled and talented midfielders in the BetPawa Premier League and is very highly rated in the league.
Otanga is expected to feature for Hearts of Oak in their next game against Berekum Chelsea at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Ghana Impact Project, a non-governmental organization led by the President Mr. Kobby Okun has donated a cheque of $10,000 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) and other assorted items to Orthopedic Training Centre (OTC) in Nsawam.
This is the third year Ghana Impact Project is supporting OTC. The Ghana Impact Project was founded in 2021.
The Headmistress of OTC, Mea. Louisa Enyoonam thanked Mr. Kobby Okum of Impact Ghana Project for the support.
She made a plea through the Ghana Impact Project to the whole of Ghana as well as Africa to Let (people living with disability) also feel part of the world at large. “Disability is a misfortune that can reach anyone anytime”, she said. She later pleaded that our leaders recognize them and not discriminate.
The Director of the OTC, Rev. Sister Elizabeth Abena Panyin Newman also spoke about some causes of disabilities of which some are natural and can’t be avoided, yet some like accidents and health conditions like diabetes that would lead to amputation could be avoided or prevented.
She also praised Impact Ghana Project for their charity works and encouraged them to continue doing such deeds.
President of Impact Ghana Project Mr. Kobby Kun said, I intended to help physically challenged people when I was 11 years old, fast forward to 2021, during the pandemic, I got a lot more of an opportunity to take a pause and reflect on what was important in life. That was when the thoughts from age 11 came back. I partnered with some friends, and I could start the Ghana Impact Project, a charity based in Virginia, USA.

Agona Kwanyako is a small town in Agona East District of the Central Region of Ghana is where table tennis has given life to the youths.
As part of supporting African communities through sport for development model, Project Africa casted their light to the Backhanders Table Tennis Club at Agona Kwanyako.
The delegation was led by Fynn, Nick, Felix and Fritz visited the community to know how they feel, motivate them and provide support.
The project donated equipment on behalf of Coach Stefan Meder and Eimsbütteler TV Table Tennis Club due to the relationship with Godwin Nyarko Aseku who doubles as a trainer and a player for Kwanyako Backhanders Table Tennis Club. Project Africa also fixed the delipidated roofing of the training center,
They also fixed their roof and electricity, as well as donated equipment such as brand-new table, rubbers, balls, shoes and other sports kits.
The beneficiaries thanked Project Africa for their heartfelt initiative and pledged to make them into good use.
Backhanders Table Tennis was established and inaugurated in the year 1977 by the chief of Agona Kwanyako, Nana Ampem Darko V and handed over to Mr Joseph Addo Owusu to train and see to the well been of the club.
Coach Addo produced wonderful players such as Yaw Sarfo and others, Yaw Sarfo moved to France and continue to play the game and won several medals for himself and the club.
The club has produced national champions,the likes of Gamah Narh, kwame Ampofo and Ali Mohammed Lucy Addo.
After the demise of Coach Addo, Kwame Ampofo, Gamah Narh and Joshua Okine took the mandate and continue to produce national champions like Augustina and Augustine Baidoo, Gabriel Mbasu, Ibrahim Gado.
Also, the club can boast of national players such as Eric Agyeman, Godwin Nyarko Aseku, Theophilus Okyere, Augustina and Augustine Baidoo, Gado Ibrahim Nuhu, Gabriel Mbasuh and Joana Amissah.
The club presented seven players for the World and African youth, junior and cadet championship held in 2019 in Ghana with five boys and two girls.
The biggest achievement of the club has been winning World bronze and gold medalist by Ibrahim Gado who won gold in his category and Godwin Nyarko Aseku, Augustine and Augustina Baidoo, Theophilus Okyere, Mbasuh Gabriel and Joana Amissah won bronze.

The latest sports federation in the country, Functional Sports League Ghana has been launched at the National Theater in Accra on Tuesday.
Nana Adu Mankattah, Gyasehene of Adukrom who is President of Sports For All (Keep Fit) gave an historical background of formation of keep fit clubs in Ghana, which are over 3,000 and urged Ghanaians to embrace the new federation which is a fusion of various disciplines.
Mr. Charles Owusu Ansah, President of the Functional Sports League Ghana expressed that their objective is to promote fitness and healthy lifestyle.
He gave the vision statement of the Federation which is to drive national pursuit of active and positive lifestyle through functional fitness, nutrition and mental health for people of all ages for a healthier tomorrow.
He also said the mission statement is to promote and grow community health and togetherness by providing sustaining, effective and empowering programs for everyone.
“We will develop Functional Fitness as a competitive sport in Ghana and encourage Ghanaians to be healthy” he added.
He hoped to collaborate and partner communities, educational institutions, churches and companies to develop and promote the sport locally and internationally.
The executives of the Functional Sports League Ghana are Charles Owusu Ansah President, Ms Priscilla Mensah Vice President, Ms Yvonne Amoah General Secretary, Nana Adu Mankattah Executive Member, Mr. Boakye Adomako Greater Accra Chairman and Mr. Obed Aidoo National Organiser.
The Functional Sports League Ghana is affiliated to the International Functional Fitness Federation- IF3.
On December 1, 2023, the first competitive programme comes off at Dansoman, then on December 9 they will support the National S[orts For All Federation (NASFAG) to organize the biggest Health walk from Ayi Mensah to Aburi Botanical Gardens.
