“Ghana has the talent, but talent alone cannot get us to the medal zone, we need full support, technically and morally and financially to get to our destination” said Elkanah Dodoo, a technical official of Ghana Judo.
According to Elkana Dodoo, Ghana Judo have the players who can perform.
"We recently sent four Players two men and two women to Abidjan and they did very well. We have medal hopefuls like Evelyn Dzato-57, Isaac Williams-90kg. Elizabeth Oduro-73kg, Waheed Dodoo-100kg , they are all medal hopefuls so if we keep them well and organize training tours for them, they will improve and we can count on them for the Youth Olympic Games in 2026 and the main Olympic Games in 2028: he expressed.
He appealed for support from government and corporate Ghana to put Judo where they belong in Ghana Sports.
