Despite the challenges and criticisms at the 2025 Tour du Ghana Cycling competition, some participants saw some positive and progressive sides of the week long event and experience.
With 10 countries taking part, namely Germany, Austria, Holland and Belgium as well as Burkina Faso, Nigeria. Benin and Togo joining Ghana with three teams, the Greater Accra and Bahati team the stage was set for an exciting exploration.
On the first day, the convoy set off a bit late do the first race from Atimpoku to Ho could not come on, however. the capital town of the Volta Region offered other tourism benefits with the landscape of hills and valleys as well as fine weather of smooth sunshine and rains when it is necessary.
Races to Fume and Adaklo were successful just like from Ho to Atimpoku.
The excursion to Afadzato was another unique experience and the final in Ablekuma was just spectacular.
For Remon Wijfje, he had a great time with guys at Tour Du Ghana for the first time as a team leader, in the super tightly organized, punctual, fluent Ghana.
He said never would he get such marvelous friends and colleagues again so he was very happy and grateful to the Ghana Cycling Federation.
