Boxing Team Boxing Club Drouais from France have received certificates of participation in 'Road To Accra -Ghana' Boxing Tournament staged at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday 19th October 2025 by the Bukom Boxing Gym with support from Ghana Boxing Federation and Interim Management Committee of Ghana Professional Boxing.

During the tour, the Team visited of some important places like the James Town Beach and Accra Post Office. They walked through the densely populated community of Bukom, Akotolante to Atukpai. They tasted some Ghanaian meals, notably fufu and kokonte with soup and made some donations.

Before the tournament they participated in a medical seminar organised by the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) and National Sports Authority (NSA).

The team also met officials of the France Embassy.

Boxing Club Drouais were presented a special souvenir from the Director General of NSA Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah before they left.

According to Augustus Dodoo, PRO / Assistant Coach of the Bukom Boxing Gym, the visit was very successful as the Bukom boxers also shared and learn a lot from their new friends.

He was hopeful of a fruitful exchange programme for the Bukom boxers to also know France.

"This programme is very laudable and we must sustain, support and maintain the relationship" he said.

He commended the GBF and NSA for their assistance during the tournament.
