Homowo Ampe Competition 2025 comes up at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday. September 20, 2025.

The event is organised by the Women Sports Association of Ghana  (WOSPAG) led by Mrs. Joyce Mahama.

She said this year's programme will be very exciting as the game has improved.

She noted that WOSPAG is still pushing for Ampe to be accepted as an international traditional sport.

"Other African countries play a similar game with different names.but we are focusing for Ampe to be the name for the sport" she expressed.

The programme will attract students from some selected schools, fun clubs and keep fit organisations.
