Known as 'Jaguar ' by his fans, the 22 year old is identified with the 2022 Commonwealth Silver and 2023 African Games Gold medals.
According to ace sports journalist, Ekow Asmah, he selects Commey as the potential to put the name of Ghana in the books of world boxing but wonders how it can be realised because local managers lack the financial foundation for boxing and do not attend international conventions.
He advised that Commey must be given the class guidelines and guidance to be a super star.
Joseph Commey who is unbeaten in his professional career fights for the Ghana National Lightweight Championship against experienced Victor Kuwornu on Saturday August 23 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
