Ghana’s featherweight hope, Holy Dorgbetor has apologized to his fans for the painful lose on points to Albanian opponent Muhamet Qamili over six rounds at the WBC Grand Prix in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He hopes to get back to The Gym and make corrections to come back bigger, However he still leads the nation’s best professional boxers in pound for pound for the month of June 2025 and has two bouts lined up for him in the USA in August and November.

Dorgbetor (14 -1-1), the IBF Africa Continental Champion who had a strong corner with crack Ghanaian technical team led by Charles Quartey including his trainer Laryea aka Coach Lion did not have a style to counter the fast punching and stamina of Qamili.

Qamili was ahead on points from the first round, before Dorgbetor changed his style but it was too late.

Muhamet Qamili of Albania (16-0, 7KOs) who is representing Italy came in as a very tough customer, with fast hands and advanced with pressure.

He has qualified for thw Quarter Finals having won by decision: 60-53, 59-54, 59-54 to hand a first career defeat to Dorgbetor.
