Haruna ‘Thunder’ Mohammed Puts National Cruiserweight Title On The Line Against Undefeated Ahmed Abdula

Haruna Mohammed aka ‘Thunder’ will be one of the local champions boxing fans will be looking out for to display well on June 13, 2025 when the Battle of the Beasts presented by Legacy Rise Sports Promotions and Amir Khan comes on at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The national cruiserweight champion from the Wisdom Gym takes on Ahmed Abdula of the Kokomlemle based Fit Square Boxing Gym. He has been looking for an opportunity to defend his belt since Jacob Dickson chicken out at an Ayitey Powers Promotions bill.

This time he has a good match as both are tall and have the physique to be models, but boxing chose them.

Ahmed Abdula (8-0-0) 7 K’Os is glad and poised to face Haruna Mohammed (5-1-0) 5KO’s and sees it as a great opportunity. He has expressed his determination and anxiety as well as readiness and eagerness to fight the champion and win.

“I have prepared well and I can say I am fully prepared to face Haruna, he does not scare me because I have beaten the Hammer so Thunder is small for me, I will knock him out by round nine” he said.

Coming from the Fit Square alone makes him a tough nut and against a Wisdom baked boxer who will give fight fans more to cheer about. Abdula said he loves to play and watch football, but boxing chose him and does not regret becoming a boxer.

The main bout is the WBC Africa Bridger weight championship between Jacob Dickson and American Andrew Tahiti.  Theophilus ‘Lopez’ Allotey also clashes with Daniel Gorsh for the WBO African Bantamweight title.

Bukom Tilapia also known as Abubakar Kamoko is on the bill against Stephen Akrong while 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Jessie Lartey of Ghana Prisons Service as well as his senior brother Jerry Lartey of the Ghana Armed Forces is also featuring.

Boxing fans are really going to enjoy classic superb boxing and Your Truly prays everything goes on successfully.
