Sanctioned competitions:

4x100m open championships- must have a minimum of four countries for World Athletics to recognize it.

World Relays are divided into two rounds, with round 1 containing four heats and round 2 containing three heats.

Qualification format for 16 teams at the World Athletics relay - 1st and 2nd places out of the four heats of round 1.

The teams that placed first and second on the 3 heats of round 2.

The teams with the best times for the year in perspective (this is how Netherlands qualified despite being disqualified in heat 2 of round 2 at the Bahamas relay and Trinidad & Tobago qualified despite not finishing (DNF) in heat 3 of round 2 at the Bahamas relay.
