Ghana captain, Andre Ayew has bid farewell to his manager at Al-Sadd SC, Xavi Hernandez after the Spaniard completed his return to Barcelona as head coach.
After days of negotiations, Barcelona have finally reached a deal with the Qatari giants to give the vacant head coach job to the former midfield maestro.
Although gutted, Andre Ayew has wished Xavi the best of luck in his next steps. In a farewell message on Twitter, the Black Stars attacker says he is proud to have had the chance to work with the football great.
“Mister thank you for everything. Ur humbleness is unique, learned so much in this few months. Proud to have worked with such a legend. May Allah bless ur new chapter. Good luck Mister,” Andre Ayew’s post on Twitter reads.
At Al-Sadd SC, Andre Ayew and Xavi had a very good relationship. The coach had faith in the former Swansea City poster boy who scored seven goals in the short time he worked with the new Barcelona head coach.
