Ghana’s Theophilus Nii Kpakpp Allotey who raked five awards at the recent Boxing Ghana Awards has been named as the current number one Ghanaian boxer by various boxing bodies in the world. He is officially number 10 at the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Super Flyweight division.
Boxrec has rated him at the top, and he now has three and a half star just like former IBO Lightweight champion Emmanuel Tagoe who is at number two.
Faisal Abubakar with three stars is at number three position.
Others with three stars in the row are Richard Commey and Alfred Lamptey, Holy Dogbertor, John Laryea, Michael Abban, Sheriff Quaye and Henry Malm in the top 10 with two and a half stars.
According to Coach Dr. Ofori Asare, they are climbing gradually and very soon they will hit the top ten well and take on the champions.
“Jayr Raquinel, who Allotey beat at the Legon Stadium in highly rated and our victory must push us” he stated.
Theo Allotey (13-0) himself told Yours Truly that he wants to become an undisputed champion, which no Ghanaian has done and he is very focused and determined to reach that goal.
Ms Sarah Lotus Asare, his manager says recent awards like the EMY, Boxing Ghana and other accolades and cheers has inspired Allotey to be his best and hopes to become better.
