Nii Gonti Adjor 1 calls for accountability at Ghana Boxing Federation

Aspiring First Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF),Nii Gonti Adjor 1 aka Nii Adama Addy, owner of The Gym and former manager of former IBF Bantamweight Champion Joseph Agbeko aka 'Fresh King Kong' has called for accountability before the upcoming elections fixed for December 27, 2025.

He said the old administration must hand over a clean account of records over the past four years.

The Atukpai Mantse expressed that the new administration must start on a clean safe slate so that their achievements and successes can be measured.

Nii Gonti said many things have not gone well and right in recent times with both amateur and professional boxing.

He noted that a sound well nurtured amateur boxer will turn into a disciplined professional boxer so there is a link between the two categories.

He urged boxing stakeholders to press upon the IMC to hand over the administration of professional boxing to a democratically elected body.

The CEO of Omashi Media said the IMC must consult the stakeholders to draw a roadmap to the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) much expected elections.

His call for accountability and transparency was supported by Solomon Otoo who is also going for the Second Vice President position.

Alhaji Dauda Fuseni is going for President while Mustapha Nettey wants to be retained as Treasurer.

Others named for executive members are Ms. Sarah Lotus Asare, Rasheed Williams and Dave Bishop.

Incumbent President Bernard Quartey is in the race.
