Ghana Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championship Concludes Successfully at Borteyman

The 2025 Ghana Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championship came to a thrilling end on October 4, 2025, at Borteyman. Fifty-two talented cyclists competed in a challenging 15.7km race, covering an overall distance of 31.4km. Prince Kudjofia from Team Epic emerged as the champion, followed closely by Foster Doevi in second place and Ernest Asamiah in third.

The race, which started from the Borteyman Sports Complex and ended at UG Farms, tested the cyclists' endurance and skills. With an average speed of 18km/h and a completion time of 2 hours and 45 seconds, the athletes showcased impressive performance.

In the kids' category, Victor Nana Yaw Dwamena emerged as the winner, while Tunteeya took the top spot in the female category. Their outstanding performances drew admiration from the crowd.

In a heartwarming display of determination and passion, an autistic cyclist participated in the 2025 Ghana's Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championship, showcasing their exceptional talent and enthusiasm for the sport.

The cyclist's participation was a testament to the inclusive nature of the event, which aims to provide opportunities for individuals of all abilities to engage in sports. Despite the challenges they may have faced, the autistic cyclist demonstrated remarkable focus and perseverance, completing the challenging 5km race and inspiring others with their dedication to the sport.

The event's organizers and participants applauded the cyclist's achievement, highlighting the importance of promoting inclusivity and accessibility in sports. Their participation served as a reminder that with the right support and opportunities, individuals with autism can excel and thrive in various fields.

The founder of the Mountain Bike Championship, Emmanuel Antwi (EMMA GEE), expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and display of sportsmanship throughout the event. In his closing speech, he extended gratitude to the sponsors, including Prudential Life Insurance, Vital Willingness, Japan Motors, SHAXI, RUN GHANA, PEEVA, Bulley Audit & Accounting Services, DHL, DECATHLON GAME Game energy drink for their support in making the 6th edition a success.
