Theophilus Nii Kpakpo Allotey aka ‘Theo Lopez’ receives WBO Africa Bantamweight Title Belt

Theophilus Nii Kpakpo Allotey aka ‘Theo Lopez’ who dethroned Daniel Gorsh aka ‘The Emperor’ in the exciting Bantamweight clash for the WBO Africa title on the Battle of the Beasts Bill has received his title belt on Tuesday September 16 at the office of the WBO Africa Representative, Mr. Samir Captan.

Mr. Captan, a former President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) who presented the belt congratulated and commended him for his splendid performance at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

He advised him to train very hard as he gets nearer to the main titles. “You must be disciplined and listen to your head coach all the time, you must sleep early to get enough rest after training and be prayerful, that’s my advise, well done” he said.

Mr. Captan who managed former WBC world champion, Azumah Nelson and 43 other boxers said becoming a champion is a difference story, so he should not rest on his oars, but be focused and target the goal of becoming a world champion. He blessed him with some motivational spiritual messages and cautioned him against ladies and bad company.

Undefeated Allotey who holds the Ghana National and UBO Africa Super Flyweight titles thanked Mr. Captan and promised to abide by his advise.

Present were Coach Ofori Asare, Manager Sarah Lotus Asare, Coach Eben of Wisdom Gym, Nene Tohtime, and representatives of the WBO Africa in Ghana.
