Ace ring official Derrick Macaire was in Togo over the weekend to train officials in Muay Thai and MMA.

Some of the countries that participated are Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.

According to Derrick the programme involved both theory and practical sessions.

He commended the participants for their cooperation during the sessions.

The program was organized be Pitbull gym in Lome in collaboration with the Muay Thai and the Sports Council in Togo. Started at 8am and ended at 4pm on Saturday. There were 4 sessions. The first 2 sessions was a theoretical class, the third a practical class and the fourth was based on evaluation. 20 participants attended this program from Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast and Togo.

Macaire is one of Africa's best referees in Combat Sports such as Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA and UFC. He appealed for more sponsorship in fight sports.

Ghana will be hosting the Global Warriors Championship on September 19 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Derrick Macaire is one of the top referees to officiate.
