Breaking Federation meets Director General of National Sports Authority

The Breaking Federation of Ghana on Tuesday had a meeting with the Director General of the National Sports Authority on the issuance of their working certificate to operate as a sports body which has taken some time.

The President Nana Tufour Okai said they have been operating since 2019 and represented Ghana in many international competitions with the support of the French Embassy in Ghana and JGL.

He hinted that they have taken the sport to other regions like the North, Central, Western and various communities in the Greater Accra Region.

He announced their preparations for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal next year.

Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah assured to support them and urged the Technical Department of the NSA to assist the new federation in getting all their documentations so that they can be admitted into the NSA.

Present was BG Trisy who represented Ghana in Morocco at the African Qualifiers towards the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and some of their executives, Francis Feby, Francis Duah, Maxwell Neur Tetteh and Eric Appa Obiri.

Meanwhile the Afro Break Academy and Breaking Federation will premiere a documentary on Saturday July 19 at the Mamobi Community Library from 2pm. It's all about the genesis of Afro Break in Ghana which has spread to other countries.
