Ghanaian winger Ishmael Baidoo Signs with Polish side Chełmianka Chełm

Chełmianka Chełm, in the III liga of the Polish football league system, have added a new attacking option to their squad with the signing of Ishmael Baidoo. The 26-year-old Ghanaian winger has agreed to a one-year contract, which includes an option to extend for an additional season to mark a new chapter in his career.

Baidoo spent the previous campaign with KTS Weszło Warszawa in Poland, where he had an impressive run, netting 20 goals, 7 assists and earning 4 MVP awards. Over the course of his career, he has played for several clubs across Europe, including Septemvri Sofia in Bulgaria, Górnik Zabrze, and Pogoń Siedlce in Poland, FK Železiarne Podbrezová in Slovakia, and AS Véria in Greece. During his time in Greece, he faced the setback of injury a challenging moment in any athlete's career. However, with determination and resilience, he made a strong comeback to the pitch, reigniting his passion for the game and proving his unwavering commitment to football.

In the past two seasons (2023/2024 and 2024/2025), Baidoo was a key figure at KTS Weszło Warszawa. His professional experience includes 14 appearances in Poland's top division, the Ekstraklasa, and 34 matches in the second tier, where he scored 8 goals, 7 assists.

The player made an appearance for Ghana’s U17 national team during the 2015 WAFU tournament held in Burkina Faso.

Known for his technical skills and ability in one-on-one situations, Baidoo is a versatile attacker capable of playing on both wings. He has also featured as an attacking midfielder as a “number ten" and forward.
