New WBO Africa Bantamweight Champion Theophilus Nii Kpakpo Allotey aka Theo Lopez (11-0) has described his recent media tour following his victory over Daniel Gorsh as exciting educative and inspiring.
"In fact I learnt a lot from the questions asked by the journalists and it has shaped my vision and directions" he told Yours Truly.
Allotey who is rated 35 in the world holds the UBO Africa Super Flyweight as well as Ghana National Super Flyweight titles disclosed that he is more comfortable at the Super Flyweight division and will stay there for a while to target the World title and then move to a different weight if it is possible.
He said the WBO Africa Bantamweight Championship with Daniel Gorsh was just to prove a point and teach boxers and fans some lessons on humility, sacrifice and hard work.
He stressed that Gorsh is a good fighter but he is better in the game.
"Boxing is like life, so we have to be humble and take things easy, I respect and commend Gorsh for the opportunity to give boxing fans a good show. We can both become world champions if we are supported" he expressed.
Speaking on The Big Fight Night on Omashi TV in the company of Coach Dr. Ofori Asare and Manager Sarah Lotus Asare, they thanked Legacy Rise Sports and the fans for the Friday June 13th show.
Team Allotey is back to the Wisdom Boxing Gym planning for bigger challenges like the WBC International Flyweight Championship and other opportunities they may spring up.
Dr. Asare described the bout with Gorsh as a good and lovely test, while friendship in boxing continues.
Sarah Lotus noted that it has given Theo the respect that he deserves as a boxer who served the national team The Black Bombers, and represented Ghana at Olympic Games Qualifiers as well as the African Games.
She announced that an ESport event will be held at Atukpai in Accra on 13th July, where Theo Lopez who was born on 11th July hails to entertain and educate the youth about ESports, which is for the future and rewarding.
Meanwhile, Allotey has shared some wonderful moment with members of the Wisdom Boxing Gym as they felt the new belt in the gym.
According to Coach Dr. Asare the gym has produced many champions and held deferent titles at different levels and contests.
"At Wisdom Boxing we don't fear to fight because that is what we do, we fight, we defend, we entertain, we punish, we respect the rules of the sport" he added.
