Kenneth Arthur elected President of Ghana Judo

The Ghana Judo Association has held a successful 2025 Congress at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium to elect a new executive into office for the next for years.

Mr. Kenneth Arthur was elected unopposed as President with the Vice President going to Mavis Abbey and Kojo Twum Baah as Treasurer.

Kwesi Adu Apau was elected General Secretary, while Eben Ofei Dodoo and Paa Kofi Ewool got elected as Executive Members.

Present to supervise the Election was President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Richard Akpokavie Esq. and Board Member Nana Adu Mankatah.

The GOC President called for unity and focus on the athletes. He advised the new Executive to stand firm and strongly united to attract sponsorship to support the athletes.

“In sports administration and management, it is the athletes that matter and everything possible must be done to make the players comfortable so that they cam perform” he said.

He prayed that the Ghana Judo Association produces quality athletes who can represent Ghana at the Olympic Games like Anane did at Tokyo 2020.

Mr. Kenneth Arthur told the media, they have been working already and hope to produce tough athletes to represent the nation at the next Youth Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and other Continental Championships.
