Michael Decardi Nelson WBC International Fight Postponed For The 3rd Time To June 28, Weigh in done

The much anticipated WBC International Bantamweight Championship between Ghana's Michael Decardi Nelson and home boy David Mwale of Zambia has been postponed for the third time to June 28 at the same venue, Government Complex in Lusaka.

Ghana's Michael Decardi Nelson and his coach, Noah Awatey aka Coach Major have already landed in Lusaka and have paid a curtesy call on the Sports Minister of Zambia, Elvis Nkandu ahead of his scheduled WBC international bantamweight title fight against David Mwale.

The bout which is promoted by Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions was postponed by a week to June 28 due to the funeral of former Zambian President Edgar Lungu who died in South Africa on 5 June. 2025.

For Decardi Nelson and his team, they have to wait and be in the Zambian capital to acclimatise and also sin some suportete ahead of the bout. He suffered his only loss in his last fight in India.

The product of Akotoku Academy in Accra is hopeful of winning thus tough challenge as the India experience taught him some lessons.
