Asamoah Gyan joins GPL side, Legon Cities

Former Black Stars top striker, Asamoah Gyan has agreed to play for Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Legon Cities on a transfer deadline day ahead of 2020-2021 season. .

Ghana Legend Asamoah Gyan has completed a season-long loan move to Legon Cities after seeing his contract with Indian side North East united terminated earlier this year.

The 34-year-old proficient striker was heavily linked to Asante Kotoko but will now play for the Accra-based club.

The all-time top scorer of Ghana is expected to add firepower to Goran Barjaktarevic side who struggle for goals in 2019-2020 truncated league.

The former Sunderland star will likely play his first league game in 17 years for his new club when Legon Cities host Berekum Chelsea at the Accra sports stadium on the November 13.

Gyan has played for clubs outside Ghana like Udinese, Sunderland, Kayserispor, Shanghai SIPG and Al-Ain where he scored most goals,
