Young rising star Africanus Neequaye will be the attraction as he faces Daniel Quaye on the much anticipated Ayitey Powers Promotions bill dubbed 'Judgement Day' on Saturday September 27 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Both boxers were given the opportunity to brag and after the exchange of words on the streets, it is now action time in the ring.
Africanus Neequaye who was on ‘The Big Fight Night’ on Omashi TV said he is going to teach his opponent a few lessons as he is a better boxer destined for greatness. He named American champion Terence Crawford as his idol and inspiration.
According to him, since childhood he has been regarded as majestic and now is the time to reign as a hero for Africa.
The Labone SHS product revealed that he was named Africanus to be a champion for the whole of Africa.
With a record of nine fights and nine wins with no loss, he noted that the journey to stardom is about to begin with the upcoming bout.
The product of Jamestown Boxing Gym who is managed by Michael Amoo-Bediako said he is the next good thing to happen to Ghana Boxing.

Mr. Thomas Kwaku Kumordzi of the National Sports Authority (NSA) was part of the participants who completed the recent stadium security course.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), recently organized a workshop on stadium safety and security. The three-day training was part of the continent-wide CAF Safe Stadium Initiative, which aims to standardize safety measures and prevent stadium tragedies.
The "CAF Safe Stadium Initiative Workshop" was held to enhance the knowledge and skills of security personnel to ensure safer football experiences for everyone.
The training was held at the GFA headquarters in Accra from Tuesday, September 16, to Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Attendees included Safety and Security Officers from all 18 Ghana Premier League clubs, members of the GFA Security Committee, and 16 Regional Sports Police Officers.
The training was conducted by CAF security experts Xololi Nokithula Vilakati from Eswatini and Sylvanus Obi from Nigeria.
The intensive training covered a range of essential topics:
CAF Safety and Security Regulations: A review of the continent's official guidelines for football match security.
Accreditation and Access Control: Techniques for managing entry to the stadium for various personnel and stakeholders.
Crowd Management Techniques: Methods for controlling large crowds to prevent crushes or disturbances.
Pre-, During-, and Post-Match Security Protocols: Procedures for ensuring a secure environment at all stages of a football event.
GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku emphasized the importance of the training in creating a safe and peaceful atmosphere for football in Ghana, particularly in light of past stadium tragedies. The initiative is part of a broader CAF effort to ensure that all football events, from local league matches to continental competitions, are hosted in a secure environment.
Upon successful completion of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates.

The 2025 Homowo Ampe Competition was organised successfully at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday September 19 by the Women Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG).
Seven teams competed with Unstoppables winning the first prize.
Hostac placed second while SWAG Ladies took the third position.
Mrs Joyce Mahama, President of Women Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG) commended the sponsors, athletes and media for participating.
Naa Yarley Achia Bronie 1 aka Naa Yarkor Chavez, a former boxer now queen at Adjenkotoku graced the event. She advised the players to be serious as very soon Ampe will become an international traditional sport and take them to places.

Emmanuel Akpor Adjei, the Sports Scientist who rode on a bicycle from Germany to Ghana raising funds for children's libraries has received a rousing welcome at Teshie in Accra.
He told the meda, the education project at Teshie in Accra is the start for other marginalised communities in Ghana.
The project is dubbed 'Riding back 2 my rooots- A journey to build, inspire and explore '
On Saturday, he was majestically welcomed to Teshie his hometown in grand style. His gallant and resilient effort of spending 103 days riding on a bicycle across the Mediterranean Sea, Sahara desert where he picked the bone of a camel was appreciated by all.
Hundreds of people including oldmen and women, youth and kids gathered at the Teshie Community Library amidst drumming and dancing where he presented education materials including WiFi, furniture, lap tops, education kits and books. He revealed depending on sardine and bread since 7th June when he set off from Munich. He demonstrated how he slept in his tent and how he cooked.
He promised that the library will soon be equipped with sports equipment and facilities, which would be replicated around the country.
He thanked the NGO supporting him, Edu Sports for their hard work in raising over $20,000 within the short period.
Akpor Adjei was presented with citations from the Municipality, families and the library. Representatives of the Ghana Library Board also gave motivational messages.
The people sang and danced their traditional 'Kpaashimo' which he joined and had fun.

Ghana's Emmanuel Lamptey stopped Ben Bazi of Nigeria in round one of the interesting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) show at the Ga Mashie Hall of the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday evening.
Experienced Selorm Darko also lost on points to youthful Edmund Akator who got a sweet revenge.
They represented Bhim Nation and Shatta Movement who won the show. Akator gave his senior opponent a tough time. Darko accepted the loss in good faith and showed sportsmanship.
The entertaining event was organised by Global Warrior Champions led by Jeff Taylor.
It was a good show with a good crowd ending with no major casualty.
Adom Nortey was surprised with a shocking defeat by his Nigerian opponent, Sadiq Mohammed.
The fans had a lot to cheer about with Reggie Rockstone gracing the night.
Jeff Taylor described the show as a huge success and planned for another event in December.
He commended the sponsors who supported to make the event happen, like Twellium Ghana Ltd. Alisa Hotel, Decathlon and Max TV.
Kwab Asamoah, Vice President of Ghana Mixed Martial Arts Association said the sport has come to stay and loved the energy displayed.

The much anticipated pool board game (Snooker) competition at La Farmacia Pub comes up on Monday. September 22 this is a holiday.
The event is to commemorate the birthday of Ghana's first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and for the youth to know much about the history of Ghana.
Participants will be drawn from Mamprobi, Dansoman, Jamestown, Korle Gonno, Kaneshie and Chorkor. At stake is winner takes all.
According to the organisers, the objective of the tournament is to pick the best pool players and most exciting players.

The Winneba Secondary School (WINNESEC) Old Students’ Association (WOSA) is set to hold the 14th Annual Dowuona Hammond Memorial Lectures on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Ghana–India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT, Accra.
This year’s lecture, themed “Indiscipline in Senior High Schools in Ghana: Causes and Remedies,” reaffirms the association’s commitment to driving national conversations on education and discipline, while also honouring the legacy of the late Mr. Dowuona Hammond, a revered educationist and mentor.
The event will be chaired by Prof. Kwasi Yankah (WOSA ’70), former Minister of State for Tertiary Education, with Mr. Hayford Mensah Tetteh (WOSA ’93), Headmaster of Winneba Secondary School, delivering the keynote address. The Personality of Honour will be Mr. Robert M. Aheto (WOSA ’97), CEO of FWF Microfinance Ltd.

The Bukom Boxing Arena will release fireworks when the Global Warrior Champions stage the next exciting international Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) show on Friday September 19, 2025.
A Press Conference was held on Thursday at Decathlon Sports Shop at the Accra Mall to introduce the fights as they weighed for the impending programme.
On the bill are fighters from Ghana. Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire with officials from USA and Ghana.
The main bout with a title at stake is an international Middleweight battle between Ghana's Emmanuel Lamptey and Ben Bazi of Nigeria. Lamptey said he cannot see a foreigner winning the belt in Ghana, while Bazi hoped for a good night.
A fierce fight is expected when Selorm Darko faces Edmund Akator is a bout dubbed revenge or repeat as the two fighters have fought before and the loser is still not satisfied with the earlier results.
Kone Memon from Cote d'Ivoire meets Afognon John Kennedy, while Ghana's Richard Asiedu faces Felix Okoria of Nigeria.
Another Ghanaian, Mensah Aka Prince will clash with Akim Chukwebuka of Nigeria.
