On Thursday, 12th November 2020, the family of the late 1st President of the 4th Republic, His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings, was at Jubilee House, to inform President Nana Akufo Addo officially of the death of the former President.

"I expressed my deepest condolences to the family, and reiterated the decision to honour the memory of President Rawlings, the founder of the 4th Republic, with a fitting State Funeral.

May his soul rest in perfect peace!!" said Nana Addo.
