Royal Storm Dogboe suffered a third career defeat to Robeisy 'El Tre' Ramirez by a unanimous points decision, 117-110, 118-109, 119-108 on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
At the weigh in Ramirez stood at 125and a half pounds while Dogboe was 124 and a half pounds.
Robeisy Ramirez is the first professional Cuban World Boxing Champion since 1962.
He is a two times Olympic Games Gold Medalist in 2012 and 2016.
Dogboe wanted to win his second World title after five years, since beaten twice by WBO Super Featherweight Champion Emmanuel Navarette in the Super Bantamweight division.
Ramirez wanted to win to make history for himself as an Olympic Champion and World Title holder.
Dogboe made $475,000 while Ramirez took $400,00.
The former WBO Super Batamweight Champion from Ghana now has official record of 27 fights,3 loses,24 wins with 15 knockouts, while the new WOB Featherweight Champion Robeisy Ramiirez also has a new official record of 13 fights,1 loss,12 wins with 7 knockouts.

President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah has disclosed that Team Ghana is planning to camp and train in Strasbourg for two months before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
According to the astute sports administrators, Ghana must improve upon her achievements at the last Games in Tokyo where Samuel Takyi grabbed a bronze (the only medal for African boxing).
Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah led a delegation from Ghana to meet Paris 2024 Organising Committee, Alejandro Recalde, Manager, NOC Relations.
The team included Isaac Duah, Chef Du Mission Ghana, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie, Dep Minister of Youth and Sports, Sophie Lorant International Relations Director and Alhaji Hafiz Adams, Chief Director at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The delegation also interacted with Ghana's Ambassador to France. H.E. Madam Anna Bossman and Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg, Hon. Owusu Tuffour, Director,
They then had consultation with Paula Alley, NOC Relations, Philippe Fischer-Dieskau, Head of Dept. of Sports and Madame Marie Wendling, Pool Manager at the Strasbourg Aquatic Centre, Md Estelle David, Director of the Centre, Frank Schaff, Dep Director, Philippe Fischer-Dieskau, Head of Sports Dept.
Deputy Mayor Owusu Tuffour of Strasbourg described the Strasbourg Centre For Sports Excellence where Ghana's Pre Games Training will be sited as excellent.
The Ghanaian-born Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg presented the Strasbourg Centre for Sports Excellence to the delegation.
Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah said the meeting was important, timely and beneficial as Ghana must prepare well to create the atmosphere for excellent performance before, during and even after the Games.
He hoped that Strasbourg will contribute to the success of Team Ghana at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The Olympics will be held in Paris in 2024, from July 26 to August 11 with a lot of new developments such as a 50/50 male-female ratio, the opening to take place on the Seine river, women will close the Olympics, and a number of new sports added like Olympic skateboarding, Olympic sport climbing, the unique sport: Olympic surfing and Olympic breakdancing.

The Women’s Sports Commission of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and the Ghana Hockey Association are organizing a symposium at the Theodocia Okoh Hockey Stadium Conference Hall on Thursday April 6, 2023 at 9am.
According to Madam Elizabeth King, Chairperson of the Women’s Commission and Vice President of the Ghana Hockey Association, the theme of the event is “Overcoming The Challenges Of The Elite Ghanaian Female Athlete And Social Skills For The Elite Athlete For The Competitive Sports World”
She said the programme forms part of efforts to engage and interact with women in sports and empower them to achieve their ultimate goals.
She called on women in hockey; current and old players, coaches, match officials, fans other sports disciplines as well as the media to attend and inform the public on current trends in the hockey world and the current Ghana situation.

Isaac Dogboe has apologized to his fans and Ghanaians after losing the WBO featherweight title bout to the two times Olympic Champion, Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba.
Dogboe thanked God Almighty for the opportunity, showed gratitude to his corner and apologized to Coach Barry Hunter as well as congratulated winner, Ramirez.
The judges were unanimous in scoring the decision win for Ramirez over Isaac Dogboe - 117-110, 118-109, 119-108.
“We didn’t get the decision today, but we will be definitely be back”
“I guess I was the aggressor but maybe, I didn’t push hard enough as my fans expected me to push, but we shall be back” he expressed.

The judges were unanimous in their decision. The Ghanaian falls short in his attempt to begin a two-division world champion.
Robeisy Ramirez scored a unanimous decision win over Isaac Dogboe - 117-110, 118-109, 119-108.
The story of the fight was that the Cuban just had too much for Dogboe. Accuracy, skill, ring craftsmanship.
Isaac Royal Storm Dogboe came to the fight at 124.6 lbs, whilst Robeisy Ramirez made 125.6Ibs at the weigh in and faced-off for their WBO featherweight world title fight on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah has led a delegation to Paris, France to have talks with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games LOC and the Ghana Embassy in Paris.
The Ghana Olympic Committee delegation interacted with Paris 2024 Organising Committee on a number of issues including organization, media accreditation, athletes and officials attending the Games and facilities.
According to Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah he was particularly concerned with support for the media and the athletes.

The GOC President noted that Ghana needs to improve upon the performance at Tokyo 2020 where the young boxer, Samuel Takyi aka the Ring Warrior won the nation's first bronze medal in almost 30 years.
Ghana will host the 13th African Games dubbed Accra 2023 which will be a qualifier for some events, and Mr. Nunoo Mensah urged Ghanaian athletes to take advantage of home support and environment to qualify to Paris 2024.
Ghana took part in athletics, boxing, judo, swimming and weightlifting at the last Games.

Alomo Tecno beat Chemuna Stars to win the special football Gala competition organised last Tuesday at the Stephen Appiah Astro Turf inside the Mamprobi Girls School.
Chairman Frederick Nyarko aka Ratty, the organizer commended all the players from the six teams that were drawn from the communities to exhibit their skills and talent.
He said there would be frequent community games to create unity and peaceful cohesion among the people of Ablekuma South.
Mr. Nyarko hailed the best performing players and technical men.
Aziz Ankrah won the hearts of spectators to be declared the best player, while Coach Kobbie of Alomo Tecno was adjudged the Best Coach

The community teams that participated were Tea Garden FC, Lanteman Lions, Galilee Stars, Chemuna Stars, Extra O FC and Alomo Tecno.
Ismaila Mills, skipper of Alomo Tecno said they won because they were technically ahead of the other teams as they have played together for a while.
He called on national team selectors to cast their net wider to involve every Ghanaian living abroad and the hinterlands.

Dr. Yusif Tedam who contested for the position of National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has paid a special visit to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia at his office.
Dr. Tedam's visit was primarily to thank the Vice President for his support during the time He (Dr. Tedam) contested as the national treasurer position of the ruling party, NPP and also to introduce his business partner and investor, (Mr. Kenneth) Nguyen Quang Nguyen. Mr. Kenneth Nguyen had a business talk with the vice president and assured him of bringing other co- investors to support the mining and the production Industry of the Ghanaian economy. The other issues discussed was trade and oil business.
The vice president also assured (Mr. Kenneth) Nguyen Quang Nguyen of his support since Dr. Tedam is one of big weights behind the Vice President's bid to be elected as the next President of Ghana.
In attendance was the spokesperson of Dr. Tedam, Mr. Nana Mprah and the constituency assistant secretary of the Ngleshie Amanfrom constituency, of the ruling Party, Mr. Karim Ibrahim Tetteh
Dr. Tedam's Father is the late legendary, Hon. C. K. Tedam who started politics in the early colonial era before Ghana gained independence from the British rule. He started his political career in 1949 and became an MP (Gold coast legislative council, He was a minister of state and later became a council of state member(a senior advisor to Former President , H.E J.A Kuffour).
He was the chairman of the national council of elders of the ruling party, for eleven years (The highest supreme body of the ruling party, NPP) and was also the chief advisor to the current President of Ghana, H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo until his demise in 2019. Because of his enormous contribution to the country, a university has been named after him called the "C.K Tedam Technological university" to immortalize him.
